There is no better cure for negativity, exhaustion, and bad energy than being in the great outdoors, soaking up rays for a weekend. We hopped on a ferry and camped on Orcas Island this weekend, and I have returned refreshed and re-energized. We spent time with friends, turned off our cell phones, and frolicked on the beach, without a care in the world. Being away in that atmosphere does something for me, at my core, that is so important to me, and I don’t ever want to lose the ability to let go like I do when I’m camping. On Friday evening, while sitting on a rock, listening to my husband and his friend play “baseball” with a log and my pup’s tennis ball, I took in a huge breath of beach air and realized that I had not thought about work all day long. There are days when I struggle to put work out of my mind, good thoughts and bad, and in my quest for balance, I know how unhealthy that is. Being out in nature, my mind is clear with no effort at all.
Today’s BGD, coming back to the grind with a refreshed outlook and feeling refocused.
What does the trick for you?
xo
Good morning, sweetie, I finally got a chance to read your BGD this morning. Just reading it helped me feel refreshed👍 there’s something about the way you describe, that makes you feel as tho I was there! I loved it! Good job. I forgot to tell you! Lynn & I reupholstered all four of our bar chairs around the barbecue. We are very pleased with the way they turned out! Saved us lots of $. Our next project is transplanting some of our flowers & putting in our ice burg white roses that are climbers around our fountain. I am anxious to put them in the ground because this is the growth period. Our barbecue is 8/23 and I’m hopeful the backyard will look somewhat decent. The only reason we haven’t planted them is because we’re waiting for Frank & his Dad to stain the fence😠. Looking for the lights to put all the way around on the fence. It’s like 250 ft. I hope I’ll have a chance to go online for the best price. Lots of projects going on & not enough time. I could go on & on, but I know you’re a busy lil bee, so I will close by saying that I always look forward to reading your blog. I am so very proud of you, my sweet, sweet, angel.
Love you so much! Have a blessed day,
Mom
